Background

As a part of CodeLabs, I participated in helping create a google extension that could help UC Davis students connect their schedules to a map so it could help them better visualize where there classes are and how much time they have in between classes and if they could make it or not.

Target Audience

UC Davis students

What did I do?

I took part in a wide variety of coding within the project but the most memorable parts that I contributed was developing the tutorial/onboarding process that runs when you first download the extension, as well as the implementing the cookies that are withint the code to make sure it only runs once, on the extensions first time opening.

What did I learn from the project "Schedule Map"?

I don't think I have encountered a project in which I learned so much valuable information from. Whether it be working in a team of developers, or researching different options of how to go about things, I learned a multitude of different lessons. My favorite of them was how to communicate and have 5 developers working together at the same time. I learned how to implement cookies and use React.js while improving my HTML/CSS skills in the process.
